Job summary

McGraw Hill is seeking an Associate Academic Designer for 9-12 Chemistry to assemble high-quality content for our 9-12 program. This is a remote, project-status worker (PSW) role with an end date of 3/31/2027.

You will plan and develop instructional materials for digital and print, research educational trends and standards, ensure accuracy, and collaborate with authors, consultants, vendors, and editors to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Education with Chemistry focus.
• 3+ years of experience in educational publishing or editorial work.
• Experience with the Next Generation Science Standards is required.
• Experience writing and editing instructional materials for science classrooms is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask in an Agile environment.
• Experience working with digital curriculum development and digital products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Classroom teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop high-quality instructional materials for digital and print products.
• Research educational trends, standards, and competitive products.
• Produce pedagogically sound, accurate materials that meet curriculum standards.
• Prepare manuscripts ensuring readability and grade-level appropriateness per project specs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet marketing, schedule, and project goals.
• Communicate project requirements to authors, consultants, vendors, and editors.
