Job summary

Providence is calling for a Charge Description Master Specialist to ensure consistency with coding and billing regulations within the PSJH system. This role is responsible for the maintenance of the Chargemaster, acts as a liaison between departments, and provides training on the CDM process.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience. This position offers a full-time schedule with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years hospital chargemaster experience with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements.
• Driving may be necessary; proof of driver's license and auto insurance required.
• Experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Chargemaster compliance with all coding and billing regulations.
• Research and resolve chargemaster maintenance requests.
• Train Hospital ministry staff on CDM Maintenance process and coding updates.

Skills

Hospital chargemaster experience

Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD10 coding

Experience with CDM Maintenance software

Operational performance improvement

Project management experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting or related field
