Qualifications

• Must have inpatient and DRG auditing experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as a Coding Specialist (CCS preferred) is needed.

Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation and accurately code diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure DRG/APC assignment is accurate.
• Compile data from medical records for reimbursement.
• Adhere to corporate policies, including HIPAA regulations.

Skills

Inpatient and DRG auditing experience

Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT systems

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

Education
