Job summary

SteadyMD Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our remote care team. You will support telehealth workflows, respond to patient inquiries, coordinate lab results, and assist clinicians with chart preparation and care coordination.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of CMA experience, familiarity with EMR systems, and a strong commitment to HIPAA compliance. This is a remote, part-time role with a weekend availability requirement in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant.
• 1 year of telehealth experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Demonstrates awareness of HIPAA and patient rights.

Responsibilities

• Outbound patient calls related to lab results and follow-up needs across client programs.
• Manage high-volume call workload with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
• Handle asynchronous patient messages and provide guided care within protocols.
• Perform clinical triage and escalate to licensed clinicians as needed.
• Coordinate care with labs, appointments, referrals, and follow-up steps.
• Prepare patient charts with histories and medications for clinician visits.
• Communicate with pharmacies to resolve prescription issues and assist with prior authorizations.
