Job summary

Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology is seeking a Certification Program Specialist II, CBIC to support certification and recertification processes, coordinate with vendors, and manage communications for a global candidate community.

The role focuses on policy adherence, accurate documentation, and providing clear, accessible communications. This is a full-time, fully remote, individual-contributor position with no direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in communications/marketing/certification or admin work.
• Experience in a membership association or non-profit preferred.
• Ability to apply policies accurately when assisting candidates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of certification policies and assist certificants by phone, email and correspondence.
• Handle escalated certification issues and liaise with the Executive Director as needed.
• Review portfolio audits and coordinate with exam administration vendor (Prometric).
• Issue digital badges via Credly and coordinate certificate orders with vendors.
• Monitor and report on program metrics and provide insights for process improvements.
• Maintain records and ensure confidentiality across certification lifecycle.
