Job summary

Nature & Culture International seeks a CEO who will lead fundraising in the United States and steward major donors to support conservation in Latin America. The role requires building a strong U.S.

development plan, closing six- and seven-figure gifts, and expanding unrestricted giving to fund growth and field programs. The CEO will travel to donor sites, partner with the Latin American team, and represent NCI at international forums.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years in fundraising leadership roles.
• Experience closing six- and seven-figure gifts and landing individual commitments of $100K+.
• Success with major donor cultivation, foundations, and institutional funders.
• Genuine relationships within conservation philanthropy and major donor circles.
• Has grown a development program’s revenue by 2–5x.
• Tells a good story, with gravitas and gratitude; communicates ecological and human stakes of conservation.

Responsibilities

• Set organizational vision and strategy with the board and Latin American leadership.
• Build and run a U.S. fundraising plan to meet revenue growth goals (e.g., from $9M to $18M in 3–5 years).
• Cultivate and steward major donors; manage a portfolio and work with the board on cultivation.
• Lead donor trips to the field to connect supporters with impact.
• Develop partnerships with Latin American teams and the board as a fundraising engine.
