Job summary

Netflix is seeking a seasoned professional to design, measure, operate and triage global CDN services. You will work with Open Connect devices, collect large data, and optimize performance and reliability across 190+ countries.

Expect collaboration with ISP partners, engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders while advancing telemetry, analytics and automation within a FreeBSD/Linux environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale, high-performance internet services focused on stability and reliability.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for data analysis and tooling.
• Experience with CDN/HTTP cache or proxy technologies is a plus.
• Hands-on experience managing large Unix/Linux systems (FreeBSD experience noted in context).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP/S and DNS protocols.
• Experience with distributed analytics (Hive, Presto/Trino, Spark SQL, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Promote continuous improvement of performance, security, maintenance, QoE, monitoring and automation.
• Collect, analyze and correlate large server and performance data.
• Use big data platforms to optimize service reliability.
• Provide design, deployment and engineering support to ISP partners.
• Manage Level 3 escalations for product delivery services.
