Job summary

Quorum Health in the United States is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDIS) to perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records, ensuring documentation reflects true quality of care, SOI, ROM and IOS for accurate coding and reimbursement.

You will collaborate with physicians, coding, case management and quality teams, educate providers, and uphold CDI standards while meeting performance metrics and maintaining proficiency with current guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or HIM preferred.
• 2–5 years acute care clinical, inpatient coding, HIM experience preferred.
• CDI certification encouraged; CCDS/CDIP preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically based, concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to support accurate coding and quality reporting.
• Query clinicians for documentation clarity following established guidelines.
• Mentor newer CDI specialists and participate in education delivery to providers.
