Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Carrier Deal Desk Manager, AMER (Commercial Finance), to lead financial diligence and structuring for complex carrier agreements across the AMER region. You will shape deal economics, assess risk, and partner with Carrier Relations to secure executive approvals remotely.

You will mentor analysts, establish financial guardrails, and drive improvements in policy, process, and commercial strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams on high-stakes vendor negotiations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commercial finance, strategic finance, procurement finance, pricing, Deal Desk, or related analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling skills and the judgment to independently evaluate supplier economics, test assumptions, assess risk, and recommend actions.
• Experience leading financial strategy for high-stakes vendor negotiations, including pricing structures, volume commitments, cash-flow terms, and mitigating nonstandard risks.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Finance and commercial teams, communicate trade-offs clearly, and move decisions toward resolution.
• Experience establishing analytical standards, financial guardrails, or approval processes and coaching other analysts as a senior contributor.
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or similar workflow systems; Oracle experience is a plus.
• Desired: experience with telecommunications carriers, CPaaS, wholesale messaging/voice, or carrier relations; Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial diligence for complex and high-value carrier agreements and wholesale transactions across AMER.
• Build and review deal models showing performance under volume/rate changes and recommend structures.
• Partner with Carrier Relations and Routing Operations to drive resolution of financial deal decisions and secure approvals.
• Translate requirements into CRM/CLM controls and maintain financial guardrails across regions.
• Track commitments after signature, identify exposure, and use performance data to improve decisions and guardrails.
• Identify recurring deal themes and translate into policy and process improvements; coach analysts and collaborate with Finance Director.
