Job summary

Aviary is seeking a Remote Exercise Physiologist to support patients in a cardiac rehabilitation program. You will design exercise programs, set goals, track progression, and provide heart-healthy education.

Work is fully remote with telehealth delivery, collaborating with nurses, exercise physiologists, and dietitians to support patients through recovery stages. CPR/AHA standards and ACSM/AACVPR credentials are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification; ACSM or AACVPR certification preferred.
• Experience in clinical or rehabilitation settings with cardiac patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of cardiovascular disease management and behavior change techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive health assessments for cardiac rehab patients, including fitness and medical history.
• Monitor progress and adjust rehab plans using metrics like heart rate and blood pressure.
• Lead group exercise sessions for patients with similar health issues via telehealth or video conferencing.
• Document assessments and progress accurately and timely in patient records.
• Collaborate with nurses, cardiologists, dietitians, and other team members to ensure cohesive care.
