Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator to join our team. This hybrid role supports multiple sites, develops estimates across project lifecycles, and drives cost efficiencies for capital and non-capital initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical or heavy industry, familiarity with Aspen tools, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills within the Central or Eastern US time zones.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen In Plant Cost Estimator.
• Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours.
• Candidates must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and commute to Chemours facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepare all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensure estimates meet industry quality requirements for each project gate step.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improve work processes for efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans through project implementation.
• Maintain estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assist Risk Competency Leads and discuss estimate impacts for risk.
• Compile benchmark data to gauge estimate performance and drive improvement.
