Job summary

Valleywise Health is seeking a Cancer Registry professional under the Sr. Coding Manager to perform data collection, analysis and reporting from medical records to support cancer prevention and treatment research.

The role requires at least 1 year of Tumor Registrar experience, cancer registry training, and strong English communication; CTR certification is preferred. Remote work is available for eligible states.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Tumor Registrar.
• Must have Cancer Registry training.
• Prefer certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR).

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Sr. Coding Manager, perform Cancer registry responsibilities that comply with Commission on Cancer regulations.
• Research, analyze, and report collected data from documentation contained in the medical record.
• Maintain databases of cancer information used to research cancer prevention and treatment methods.
• Examine records to detect cancer earlier, improve treatments, and increase survival rates.
