Job summary

NMS is seeking a dedicated housekeeper for a remote camp in Alaska, rotating on a 3x3 schedule from Anchorage-origin. The role involves maintaining cleanliness across camp facilities, kitchens, laundry, and common areas, with duties including cleaning floors, surfaces, and waste disposal.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in commercial housekeeping, access to pre-employment screening, and the ability to live and work in a dormitory-style remote setting while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience with commercial cleaning equipment and processes.
• At least 1 year of experience in commercial housekeeping.
• Must pass pre-employment checks including drug test, physical and fit-for-duty assessment, hearing test.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, vacuum, mop, or restock hallways and work areas.
• Clean floors using appropriate methods (stripping, waxing, buffing) as needed.
• Dust low and high surfaces; wipe surfaces and equipment.
• Use cleaning solutions and equipment appropriate to tasks.
• Remove and dispose of trash; manage waste disposal as required.
• Potentially perform light maintenance and snow removal duties as needed.
• May travel to remote locations and work across different facilities.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards and report issues to supervisor.
