Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to join our fully remote California workers' compensation defense team. You will represent employers and insurers, manage a CA caseload from start to finish, and collaborate with experienced lawyers and specialists.

The role offers mentorship, professional development, and long-term growth, with a generous bonus program and 401(k). Candidates must be licensed in California with at least 1 year of WC experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of workers' compensation law experience in CA.
• Strong litigation and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers and carriers in workers' compensation defense.
• Manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and conferences.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and case evaluations.
• Develop litigation strategies for efficient outcomes.
• Communicate with clients on case status and recommendations.
• Conduct legal research on CA workers' compensation laws.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver service.
