Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an attorney to join its California civil litigation practice as a litigation attorney with increasing independence. You will handle research, drafting, and strategy while attending hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.

The role offers a remote-first approach with in-person court appearances across the Bay Area. California bar licensure and at least 1 year of litigation experience are required, with mentorship and growth opportunities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• JD required.
• 1+ year of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Must reside in or relocate to the California Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload with increasing independence.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to achieve outstanding client outcomes.
• Communicate with clients regarding litigation strategy, case developments, and recommendations.
• Maintain organized case files while meeting litigation deadlines.
