TuxCare is seeking talented C Developer Interns to gain hands-on experience in C development and contribute to innovative projects within the Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) team. This remote internship lets you work from anywhere with a flexible schedule while contributing to security-focused Linux distributions.

You will review patches, backport fixes, and build packages across RPM- and DEB-based systems.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on C experience and ability to read, debug and reason about C/systems code.
• Proficiency with GNU/Linux, the command line, and shell scripting.
• Experience using Git for development and patch/branch management.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to work with AI coding assistants and critically assess outputs.
• English at B2 level or higher.
• Proactive and independent work style.

Aufgaben

• Review and validate patches for C and systems code.
• Handle tricky backports, corner cases and failing builds.
• Research CVEs and backport security fixes.
• Build and maintain packages across RPM- and DEB-based distributions.
• Process tickets and help unblock reviews.
• Use AI coding assistants daily and assess outputs.
