Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare seeks a remote-focused Purchasing Specialist responsible for sourcing direct and indirect goods and services across clinical and technical categories. You will master contracts, formulary considerations, and policy to drive compliant, cost-effective purchases.

You will collaborate with care teams and suppliers, manage requisitions, generate Purchase Orders, and lead urgent order fulfillment while monitoring KPI targets and ensuring uninterrupted supply chains.

Qualifications

• Maintains required professional license where applicable.
• Experience with detail-oriented procurement and supplier negotiation.
• Ability to work with clinical/technical teams and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Procure direct and indirect goods and services.
• Manage procurement for moderate-to-high-dollar purchases.
• Issue and track Purchase Orders and manage urgent orders.
• Collaborate with category managers to improve cost, quality, and supply continuity.
• Mitigate supply risks and identify substitutes as needed.
• Review reports to minimize disruptions and ensure timely payments.
