Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in building inspection, facility assessment, or related fieldwork.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational accuracy.
• General understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and site/civilsystems.
• Proficiency with tablets, mobile apps, Microsoft Office, and digital photography.
• Excellent written / verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site facility and building condition assessments for multifamily, senior, educational, commercial, industrial, municipal, and federal properties.
• Collect data on building systems, finishes, and site components using company software.
• Perform asset tagging & inventory and reconciling to client databases.
• Capture clear, well-labeled photographs of systems and deficiencies.
• Record accurate quantities, serial numbers, dimensions, ages, and condition ratings.
• Support senior assessors and project managers with RSMeans-based cost estimating and capital planning data.
• Assist with report assembly and technical writing as assigned.
• Adhere to all site safety requirements and maintain professional communication with property contacts.
