Job summary

HR-Alliance seeks a detail-oriented Accountant for our Remote United States-based Financial Management Services team. You will focus on participant budget management, reporting, and analysis, communicating budget changes clearly to participants and stakeholders.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; payroll processing is not required. Training on FMS programs and systems will be provided, with collaboration across California, Michigan, Utah, and other states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• New graduates welcome; professional experience preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor participant budgets across FMS programs.
• Prepare and present participant budget reports and financial updates.
• Explain budget balances and changes clearly to participants and stakeholders.
• Monitor spending against approved budgets and service plans.
• Identify overspending, underspending, discrepancies, or unusual activity.
• Reconcile participant budget activity and research discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation supporting budget adjustments and financial activity.
• Support multi-state FMS program reporting and audits.
