Job summary

TEGNA is seeking an Inventory Specialist to optimize commercial inventory for our TV stations. You will work with the TEGNA Commercial Operations team to place spots on the broadcast log and ensure accurate log finalization.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple requests in a fast-paced environment. Work from home flexibility exists, but candidates must reside in a TEGNA market.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
• Experience with broadcast traffic or sales support is a plus.
• Familiarity with WideOrbit traffic system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use WideOrbit Traffic software to manage commercial inventory by preempting or placing spots on the broadcast log.
• Meet daily log finalization deadlines and clear oversold inventory 13 weeks out.
• Follow spot placement guidelines to meet client specifications.
• Verify log maximizes revenue and adheres to advertiser separation requirements.
• Collaborate with sales team to identify revenue opportunities.
