Job summary

The American Psychological Association (APA) is seeking a Social Media and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute digital tactics for APA Style, APA Books and Magination Press, with remote work eligibility as defined by APA's policy.

Key duties include creating engaging content across platforms, managing campaigns, supporting authors, engaging the community, and analyzing metrics to improve reach and revenue, in a collaborative publishing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Five years+ experience in social media marketing/branding or digital marketing is required.
• Experience in digital book marketing including LinkedIn and YouTube advertising.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Scheduling: Produce engaging content (photos, short-form video) and schedule daily posts across platforms.
• Campaign Management: Plan, implement, and monitor social campaigns, giveaways, and promotions for title launches and backlist marketing.
• Author Support: Collaborate with authors on their social platforms, ensuring brand consistency.
• Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments/messages to foster a vibrant community.
• Analytics & Reporting: Analyze social media metrics to track campaign success and inform future strategies.
• Influencer Relations: Develop relationships with BookTokers and Bookstagrammers to increase visibility.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay current on social media trends and tools to keep content relevant.
• Other duties as assigned
