The Bookkeeper role is a virtual, hourly position for someone located in the Northern Chicago suburbs, handling payroll for up to five employees every two weeks and processing checks for event talent using QuickBooks Desktop.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in bookkeeping and journal entries; maintain organized financial records.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and finance tools in small business environments.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to resolve discrepancies in accounts.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles; prior bookkeeping experience is a must.
• Relevant coursework or certification in accounting or bookkeeping is required.
