Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Department of Psychiatry in a tele-psychiatry capacity. The ideal candidate will lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluating hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions.

The position is 100% virtual with a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Texas licensure is required, with residency training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist required.
• Licensed to practice in Texas; residency in Texas preferred.
• Strong leadership for interdisciplinary teams in hospital/ER settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluating and treating hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.
• Provide telepsychiatry services 100% virtually.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to optimize patient care.
