Job summary
Piper Companies is seeking a BMS Engineer to support design, development, and optimization of Building Management System solutions for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This remote contract role collaborates with Facilities, Engineering, Validation, and Operations teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years in BMS/BAS or controls engineering, with hands-on experience in Johnson
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Controls, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in BMS/BAS/Controls Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience with Johnson Controls Metasys and Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and optimization of BMS control systems in GMP manufacturing environments.
- Develop and review Sequences of Operation (SOOs) for HVAC, mechanical, and utility systems.
- Support commissioning, qualification, startup, and troubleshooting activities for BMS-controlled equipment.
- Configure, program, and maintain Metasys and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms.
- Provide technical support for AHUs, FCUs, HVAC systems, and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BMS, controls, and facility automation issues.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, Validation, and Operations to meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements.
