Job summary

SaidGig is seeking biology researchers to apply hands-on judgment for evaluating and improving advanced AI systems on a project-based basis. This ongoing talent pool supports short-notice opportunities without guaranteeing immediate assignments.

You will design research problems, review AI-generated experimental designs and interpretations, and identify issues where theoretical correctness may fail in lab practice due to organism, assay, or reagent limitations.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in biology or related life-science field with research experience.
• Recent firsthand experience designing and conducting experiments, with ability to explain decisions.
• Clear written communication and ability to explain scientific reasoning.
• Comfort working through ambiguous tasks and raising unclear instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create research problems based on your own work, including the experimental system, data, controls, and a reference answer for evaluating model responses.
• Review AI-generated experimental designs and interpretations, assessing controls, statistical fit, and whether conclusions are supported by figures and results.
• Identify answers that are technically correct in theory but would not hold up in laboratory practice because of the organism, assay limitations, or what reagents can demonstrate.
