Job summary

Alignerr seeks a PhD-level Biochemist to serve as an AI Data Trainer in a fully remote, hourly-contract role. You will craft expert biochemical challenges, author precise solutions, and audit AI outputs to ensure scientific rigor and safety across AI workflows.

The ideal candidate communicates complex biology clearly, contributes to ongoing projects, and works independently in a flexible, asynchronous environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or closely related field.
• Strong foundational expertise in structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, molecular genetics, or bioinformatics.
• Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly in written form.
• Attention to detail when reviewing complex equations and experimental protocols.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in an async environment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design Expert-Level Problems — Craft advanced biochemistry challenges spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously stress-test AI performance.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical responses that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI reasoning in life sciences.
• Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical derivations for scientific accuracy, safety, and adherence to established standards.
• Refine AI Reasoning — Identify and document failures in AI logic and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
