Alignerr is seeking a Biochemist to act as an AI Data Trainer, bringing deep domain knowledge to stress-test and benchmark AI models in life sciences.

You will design expert-level problems across nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, and drug-target interactions, write precise ground-truth solutions, and audit AI outputs for scientific accuracy. This fully remote, flexible contract role offers freelance autonomy and the opportunity to influence how cutting-edge models are trained.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or closely related field (completed or in final stages).
• Strong foundational expertise in structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, molecular genetics, or bioinformatics.
• Able to communicate highly technical biological and chemical concepts clearly in written form.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented when reviewing complex equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design expert-level problems spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to stress-test AI performance.
• Author ground-truth solutions—write precise, step-by-step technical responses that serve as benchmarks for AI reasoning in life sciences.
• Audit AI outputs—evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and derivations for scientific accuracy and safety.
• Refine AI reasoning—document failures in AI logic and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
