Job summary

Family Allergy & Asthma seeks a Billing Customer Service Representative to handle patient and insurance inquiries, explain charges, and assist with billing processes. You will process payments and help reprocess claims, while supporting the billing team.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, 2+ years in medical billing, and a thorough understanding of insurance concepts and coding basics. Training occurs at the Louisville office with some remote work flexibility after onboarding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing.
• Understanding of deductibles, copays, coinsurance, etc.
• Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines and medical terminology (ICD-10, CPT).
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe for documents and communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient and carrier inquiries about bills and EOBs.
• Explain patient responsibilities and educate on billing processes.
• Process payments and assist with reprocessing claims when needed.
• Assist with filing secondary claims and route faxes daily.
• Support billing department with reminders and project work as assigned.
