Care Initiatives in West Des Moines is seeking a Billing Specialist to handle full-cycle billing for skilled nursing facilities and hospice services. This role offers remote work with two days per month at our West Des Moines Corporate Office.

You will process Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims, post payments, and manage denials while maintaining accurate A/R. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of medical billing experience and strong data entry, organizational, and communication

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing.
• Accounts Receivable & SNF billing experience – Highly Preferred.
• Strong data entry & keyboarding skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly skilled nursing therapy and room/board claims for Medicare, Medicaid and third-party insurances.
• Post insurance payments and work denials to maintain current A/R.
• Submit electronic and manual billing claims to carriers and intermediaries.
• Communicate with fiscal intermediaries, company accounting staff, auditors, state agencies and facility staff.
• Ensure claims are filed accurately and timely.
• Perform general bank deposits and posting of electronic payments.
