Qualifications

• 4 years of medical billing experience or Associate's degree with 2 years billing experience.
• Certification as a biller or coder is required.
• Ability to safeguard sensitive and protected information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coordination of benefit audits at external provider agencies.
• Provide expert coding and billing functions for accurate reimbursement.

Skills

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management

Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Third-party Insurance

Advanced organizational skills

Ability to work with and safeguard sensitive information

Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

Education

High school diploma or GED and 4 years of medical billing experience

Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or related field and two years billing experience
