Job summary

The University of Washington seeks a part-time Research Coordinator 2 for the Department of Bioethics and Humanities to manage day-to-day operations of a multi-year qualitative study on care work experiences in the United States. This role is 50% FTE and may be performed fully remotely within the United States, with regular virtual coordination with the PI and team.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, plus fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Two years of experience coordinating research projects.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow research protocols and data-management procedures.
• Desirable: experience coordinating research with human subjects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the qualitative research project with the PI and team.
• Coordinate project meetings, timelines, documentation, and activities.
• Track recruitment, data collection, staffing and other activities.
• Coordinate interviews with experts and participants and travel arrangements as needed.
• Supervise research assistants and project staff, assign tasks and monitor progress.
• Support data management, transcription, translation, and coordination with the Spanish-speaking team.
• Assist in data analysis and preparation of research materials and documentation.
