Job summary

LifeWay Christian Resources seeks a Typesetting Specialist to lead Bible and reference book layouts across print and digital formats. You will apply Lifeway's design standards using InDesign and XML workflows, coordinating with editors and production teams to ensure accuracy and readability.

You will produce ePub and PDF files, manage complex content such as study notes and maps, and uphold accessibility and theological accuracy across projects, with occasional travel to Middle Tennessee for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, publishing, or related field or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign for advanced typesetting
• 3+ years of experience in typesetting, print production, or publishing
• Experience with XML workflows and digital publishing formats (ePub, PDF)
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Lead layout and typesetting of Bible and reference book projects
• Prepare files for prepress and digital conversion (ePub and PDF)
• Apply Lifeway design standards and proprietary typefaces
• Manage pagination, cross-references, footnotes, maps, charts, and study notes
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and production teams to meet deadlines
• Ensure accessibility standards and Lifeway style guidelines
