Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer II responsible for the design, development, and implementation of BESS projects. This role requires a solid understanding of power systems and BESS.

The Engineer will oversee engineering functions ensuring compliance with standards, manage engineering partners, and provide technical support during all phases of projects, while contributing to the development of diverse and equitable workplaces.

The compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 to $112,506.00 annually.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IBC, ASCE, NESC, NFPA, utility standards).
• Experience supporting solar, BESS, power, or civil/site projects, including exposure to pre-construction and execution phases.

Responsibilities

• Review design and engineering of BESS, ensuring compliance with contracts and requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to design and commission BESS systems.
• Provide oversight during procurement, including vendor recommendations and drawing reviews.
