Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer II responsible for the design, development, and implementation of battery energy storage systems. This fully remote position requires strong expertise in power systems and BESS equipment to ensure performance and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Understanding of fire protection requirements including UL9540, UL9540A.
• Knowledge of BESS control strategies and simulation tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review the design and engineering of BESS projects.
• Manage engineers and coordinate with fire protection teams.
• Provide oversight for procurement and construction activities.

Skills

Knowledge of design and optimization of battery energy storage systems

2+ years of electrical engineering experience

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

Project management experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
