Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a 100% remote role. You will review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services and coordinate decisions with providers and stakeholders.

The position requires handling crisis calls and ensuring timely, appropriate care while supporting cost-effective outcomes. The role includes a 12.5% shift differential, weekend/evening coverage, and holiday availability within a fast-paced, queue-based environment

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health clinical license in your state of residence.
• 3+ years of post-licensure behavioral health experience.
• Experience with mental health and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate, document, and communicate utilization management decisions with providers and stakeholders.
• Manage crisis calls and assess risk, coordinating appropriate interventions including escalation for suicide risk.
