Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a 100% remote, nationwide role. The position coordinates utilization decisions, handles crisis calls, and applies clinical judgment to ensure timely, appropriate behavioral health services.

Eligible candidates work 40 hours weekly with a 12.5% shift differential and full benefits. The role supports quality outcomes and collaborates with care teams across the network.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health license in your state of residence, with one of the listed credentials.
• 3+ years of post-licensure behavioral health experience.
• Experience with mental health and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using evidence-based guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate and communicate utilization management decisions with providers and stakeholders.
• Manage crisis calls and assess risk, including escalation for suicide risk when needed.
• Apply clinical expertise to support quality and cost-effective care.
• Work in a fast-paced queue-based environment and coordinate care levels with teams.
