Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a fully remote role nationwide. You will review preauthorization requests, coordinate decisions with providers, and manage crisis inquiries while ensuring safe, appropriate care.

A licensed behavioral health professional with relevant experience is required. The role offers a 12.5% shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package, with a typical pay range of $54,095 to $142,576 per year for full-time

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health clinical license in your state of residence (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCMHC, or RN).
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology for Behavioral Health Clinicians.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with emphasis in Behavioral Health or Psychology for RNs.

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using evidence-based guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate, document, and communicate utilization management decisions with providers and stakeholders.
• Manage crisis calls with clinical judgment to assess risk and coordinate appropriate interventions, including suicide risk and welfare checks.
• Apply clinical expertise to support quality, cost-effective care and positive member outcomes.
• Work in a fast-paced, queue-based environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to facilitate appropriate levels of care.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology

Bachelor's degree in Nursing with emphasis in Behavioral Health or Psychology
