Job summary

Altarum Institute is seeking an entry-level Associate Behavioral Health Training Specialist to support training delivery on SSI/SSDI and recovery-oriented practices. You will work with senior staff to develop materials, coordinate logistics, and gather feedback to improve trainings.

The role focuses on building expertise in behavioral health and social services, with opportunities to grow into independent trainings and collaborate across states.

Qualifications

• 02 years of experience in behavioral health recovery supports or related social services (internship or practicum experience considered)
• Interest in or exposure to training, coaching, or technical assistance delivery
• Willingness to learn SSI/SSDI and other disability benefit processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel as needed to support in-person trainings

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate and support the delivery of trainings for clinical and non-clinical staff, working alongside senior training staff
• Help prepare, organize, and update training materials
• Support the coordination of training logistics and cohort scheduling
• Gather and summarize participant feedback to help evaluate training effectiveness
• Build foundational knowledge of SSI/SSDI programs and recovery-oriented behavioral health practices
• Provide entry-level guidance to program staff on basic reporting and documentation tasks, under supervision
• Support data collection and outcome-tracking activities
• Help build relationships with behavioral health providers and community partners, as directed by senior staff
• Assist in preparing materials and communications for stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of training resources, toolkits, and guides
• Participate in team meetings to learn best practices from senior trainers
