Job summary

Health Haven is seeking a remote, part-time Medical Scribe to support clinical documentation in psychiatry-related care and research settings. You will document encounters, enter information into the EMR, and prepare patient notes to support continuity of care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and strong attention to medical terminology, with collaboration across a multidisciplinary team. Remote work and flexible scheduling are offered to fit a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical scribe or similar healthcare support role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and behavioral health terminology.
• Ability to accurately document clinical information and maintain chart integrity.

Responsibilities

• Virtually document patient encounters including assessments, plans, meds, and observations.
• Enter dictated or staff-provided information into the EMR with accuracy.
• Prepare hospital notes, patient summaries, and progress documentation for continuity of care.
• Apply medical and behavioral health terminology to records and clinical notes.
• Review documentation for completeness and identify missing items for staff follow-up.
• Support clinical staff workflows and reduce administrative burden.
• Maintain organized patient records following procedures and HIPAA rules.
• Provide limited scheduling and coordination support as needed.
• Assist with forms, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks.
• Protect patient privacy and ensure documentation integrity at all times.
• Communicate professionally with clinical staff and team members.
