Job summary

Centurion Health, through MHM Services, is seeking a Residential Counselor in Fairfield, CA to provide community-based services for FACT clients. The role includes facilitating groups, coordinating with clinical staff, and supporting recovery and community reintegration.

The position operates Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with weekend shift differential. A high school diploma and background check are required; CPR preferred; CA driver license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of mental health experience preferred.
• Community-based mental health experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Active CPR certification preferred.
• Must have valid California driver’s license; good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide socialization and recreational services to support recovery for clients with chronic mental illness.
• Conduct structured skills-based groups to develop coping skills and daily living abilities.
• Run substance use treatment groups and provide psychoeducation as needed.
• Support clients’ safe reintegration into the community and connect to community resources.
• Deliver care in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory manner while protecting client rights.
