Job summary

Padgett Law Group is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney for a remote role in New Jersey with periodic in-person hearings. You will oversee hearings, sign pleadings, monitor dockets, and guide staff through bankruptcy processes while keeping abreast of evolving bankruptcy law in NJ.

The position requires NJ bar admission, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience representing creditors. We offer a robust benefits package and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey bar admission in good standing.
• Ability to get admitted to NJ bankruptcy courts.
• Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend hearings and prepare attendance counsel with clear instructions.
• Review and sign pleadings before filing to ensure compliance.
• Monitor ECFs and dockets in real time and update clients.
• Provide guidance and templates to staff for pleadings and processes.
• Stay up-to-date on bankruptcy law and case developments.
