Job summary

Job Mobz is seeking a backend engineer to design and build greenfield services in a fully remote US contract role.

You’ll architect and deploy scalable backend systems, design RESTful APIs, and own critical decisions from architecture through production. Requires 3+ years in backend development, expertise in Golang or Python, and experience with AWS, Kubernetes and Docker.

This is a 6-month W-2 contract with potential extension and/or conversion; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Proven track record building greenfield systems, not just maintaining legacy code.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).

Job description

We’re looking for a backend engineer who gets excited about building things that don’t exist yet. This is not a role for someone who only maintains or “tunes” existing systems — we need someone who can take a blank slate and turn it into a production‑ready service. You’ll be working on greenfield projects with a team that values speed, technical excellence, and ownership. This is a 6‑month contract role with potential for extension and/or conversion, but in those six months, you’ll make a tangible impact.

• We can’t provide visa sponsorship for this role.
• This is a contract position , fully remote within the US.
• This contract would be a W-2 position, we cannot do a 1099 or C2C at this time
