Job summary

Legato, LLC is seeking a Backend Software Developer (Telework) in Annapolis Junction, MD to design, build, test, and maintain mission-critical software. As part of an Agile team, you will develop new capabilities and ensure scalable solutions that meet evolving mission requirements.

Responsibilities include implementing backend services in Java, C++, or Python, managing source with Git, and using PostgreSQL with SQL.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering experience supporting complex programs.
• Experience building backend services with Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience developing and executing software test procedures.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and using AWS.
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence for project management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical backend software in an Agile team.
• Develop new capabilities and enhance existing applications to meet evolving mission requirements.
• Create, execute, and maintain test procedures and ensure quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers, system engineers, and stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
• Utilize AWS, PostgreSQL, SQL, and source control (Git) to deliver reliable software.
