Job summary

Grafana is seeking a Backend Engineer for Grafana Cloud in a remote-first, globally distributed team. You will work on the AppCore/Stacks domain, building and operating the control-plane services that create, configure, reconcile, migrate, and operate Grafana Cloud stacks at scale.

Qualifications

1+ year of fully remote work experience.
Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems concepts.
Professional experience with Golang.
Write clean, well-tested software and maintainable code.
Able to break down tasks and deliver iteratively.
Familiarity with Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, or Azure and IaC tooling.
Experience with incident response and post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate reconciliation systems and stack state tracking.
Collaborate across SSS, grafana.com, and deployment configurations to ensure reliable workflows.
Improve deployment efficiency and contribute to Stack Config Reconciliation.
Manage rollout mechanisms for plugins, dashboards, data sources, and stack configuration.
Support region and cluster rollouts and on-call readiness.
Participate in roadmap planning and technical design discussions.
