Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a seasoned C# Backend Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems powering AI labs. This fully remote hourly contract offers 20–40 hours per week, with collaboration across data, research, and engineering teams to push frontier AI models forward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C# experience.
• Experience designing secure, well-documented APIs.
• Strong English communication; remote-friendly.
• Commitment to 20–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C# systems for AI data pipelines.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and correctness across existing C# codebases.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to accelerate model training and evaluation workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable, production-ready fixes.
• Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on architecture and implementation decisions.
