Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Backend Developer for a remote role with preference for those near the DMV area. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise SaaS applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services, while ensuring secure authentication and scalable data models.

The role requires at least 4 years of professional software development experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Public Trust investigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, including enterprise software or SaaS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation (United States citizenship).
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST/Web Services, and modern deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise/SaaS applications.
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related testing frameworks.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Implement authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Design databases and data models, write queries and scripts.
• Conduct code reviews to improve performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and resolve issues.
