Goldschmitt and Associates LLC is seeking a Backend Developer for a remote role with preference to candidates near the DMV area. The position focuses on building and maintaining enterprise/SaaS applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.

A strong emphasis is on REST APIs, secure auth, and scalable data models. The role requires 4+ years of professional software development, a Bachelor's degree, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, including enterprise software or SaaS applications.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation (US citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise/SaaS applications.
• Develop backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related testing frameworks.
• Design, develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Implement and manage application authentication and authorization methods.
• Design and maintain databases, data models, queries, and supporting scripts.
• Conduct code reviews and identify opportunities to improve performance, maintainability, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and resolve technical issues.
