The position is fully remote in the United States, offering a salary range of $145,000–$155,000 per year. Experience with Oracle-to-Azure migrations is a plus, and Azure-based data platforms are central to the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Mastery of SQL Server internals and advanced T-SQL.
• In-depth experience with Azure SQL Managed Instances.
• Knowledge of Azure networking concepts and VNets, NSGs.
• Automation and DevOps tooling experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and IaC frameworks.
• Security auditing, encryption and identity management fundamentals.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core database health with a focus on SQL Server performance and tuning.
• Architect, provision and manage Azure SQL Managed Instances; size and back-up strategies.
• Lead Oracle/SQL Server migrations to Azure SQL MI with end-to-end lifecycle.
• Automate infrastructure with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Git, Bicep/ARM or Terraform.
• Establish database DevOps practices: versioned schema, CI/CD, rollback plans.
• Enforce security via Entra ID, roles, encryption and privileged-access reviews.
• Implement end-to-end telemetry with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; runbooks and alerts.
• Support AI-enabled data platforms and governance initiatives.
