Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a skilled Database Engineer/DBA to lead migrations of SQL Server and PostgreSQL workloads to Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instances. You will design and deploy PaaS/DBaaS solutions, optimize consolidation and costs, and implement robust backup, DR, and security configurations.

The role requires strong Azure data services expertise, experience migrating on-prem databases to the cloud, and collaboration with global teams in a regulated data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of database engineering or DBA experience.
• 3+ years of Azure SQL or similar cloud database experience.
• Experience migrating on-premise to cloud databases.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., DP-300) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of SQL Server and PostgreSQL workloads to Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
• Design, deploy, and support Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) in Azure.
• Analyze and consolidate database instances to optimize performance, licensing, and cost.
• Implement Azure-native backup, replication, DR, and security configurations.
