Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Solutions Architect Principal to design, implement, and govern secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures for government-facing initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with business development, capture, and proposal teams to deliver technically sound, price-competitive solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure and services.
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability, and scalable cloud architecture.
• Deep knowledge of core Azure services (VMs, Storage, SQL, VNet, Functions, Entra ID, ARM templates, Monitor, DNS).
• Experience implementing Azure security services and best practices (Entra ID, DDoS, Firewall, Defender, WAF).
• Ability to design secure, scalable Azure cloud solutions for enterprise requirements.
• Experience governing multi-subscription Azure environments using Management Groups, Policy, and Landing Zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complete Azure-based solutions meeting requirements and pricing targets.
• Collaborate with BD, capture, proposal teams to optimize solutions.
• Coordinate staffing for pre-bid and proposal activities; assign technical personnel to proposals.
• Work with Enterprise Architect to design and govern secure, scalable Azure architectures.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices across teams.
• Ensure solutions align with organizational objectives and governance standards.
